Why does espionage reports disappearing?

Can't I keep em as long as I need?

Actually I've seen that attack reports also disappearing thou they stay much longer then espionage reports. Why?

All messages have a period of time for which they are saved. After which, they are automatically deleted. You can copy them into notes for long term storage
