I was wondering how many points do we get for a particular research.

I guess you understood. So, people could know where there are getting how much points

Every 5k res you spend, you get a point. However, if you're looking at rankings for fleet or research, it just counts everything as one. So it doesn't matter if it's a RIP or a probe or a sat; they're all just one.

All rankings are by points now. This includes both research AND fleets. Those are NOT number of ships, but fleet score, not number of researches, but research score.

It's it only Metal/Crystal that is calculated?

I think deut counts for buildings.
