Fleet and Defense Calculator

This Excel Workbook consists of two tabs. One tab is for fleets, the other is for defenses. Both work by the user, you, entering in a quantity of ships or defenses and having the cost displayed to you. It's very simple to read and is easy use. Certain cells, or fields, have been locked so there is no accidental changing of functions, making it fool proof. I've even added a debris field calculator to the fleet tab to instantly calculate what the debris field would be if said ships were destroyed! Here are a few screens of what it looks like and how it works:

Not very flashy, but very straight forward. I plan on updating this with more calculations in the future, but I will wait and see on how popular this becomes. I will try to keep everything as simple as possible to avoid confusion so that even the novice player can use and understand my spreadsheets.

Please feel free to ask questions and make suggestions!

*Update*

Version 2 in now up.

I have changed and added a few things in this version. All of which apply to the fleet tab.

- Added a moon popping calculator. You will be able to see the success rate of the number of RIP's attacking a defined size moon, or the number of RIP's needed to blow up a moon of a defined size with a defined chance. ( See screen shots below for better a better idea. )

- Added a Recyclers calculator to work with the debris field calculator. It will now give the number of Recyclers needed to pick up that debris field. ( Remember, theses equations do not account for distance! )

- Tweaked the layout and design a bit. ( Nothing special, really. )

- Last, but not least, I added a cargo calculator. Now anyone who has tried to figure out the exact amount of cargo's for the exact amount of resources can tell you how frustrating it is to get it exactly pinned down. There are many variables to account for and it's difficult to tell the exact amount needed to pick up half of everything without going over in cargo's. The only way to precisely figure out how many cargo's you will need for how ever many resources that are stationed on the planet requires you to enter in 3 different numbers. ( One for each resource. ) To me, it's too time consuming and goes against what this spread sheet is for. Keeping things simple and fast while making it as accurate as possible.

So I, along with help from a few other people ( Gotta give it to gummpy for sticking with me during that long discussion, instead of delivering a fistful of hurt upon my existence ), have designed a calculator that will tell you roughly how many cargo's are needed to bring back exactly half. Now as I said this is a rough calculation, unless I implement a calculator that requires you to type in each resource. But, I do believe this is the most effective that requires only one number. Simple enough to use, just take the resource of the most abundance from the planet you wish to hit and plug it in. It might send a handful more than is necessary, but to my knowledge it will always bring back exactly half.
