Is Thier a limit to the amount of Resources a planet can produce? i.e. do they run out? If so, is thier a way to determine how much is left? Thanks in advance.

There is noi limit to which a planet can produce, but there is a limit that it can store. With basic storage a planet can hol 1.1m res of each type. Then the planet can produce as much res as possible even up to 1 million metal a second.... but u have to upgrade ur mines very high that metal mine would probably be around lv 200. (highest ever gotten was 40 i believe.)

Planets are also limited by their field size (except where terraforming is used).

What if you are stockpiling resources for sat builds for the graviton tech. If you don't have storage upgrades your mines will shut down but If I'm raiding and transporting can I still unload resources on my planet?

yes your mines will stop for the resources that are maxed out.you can still dump as much res there as you want though.just be sure to have them protected.

this topic is way down in the archive ppl. try to come up with contemporary threads or new topics. both the owner and the responser are inactive now. hence the act of grave digging is not appreciated.
@the question, after max outing ur storage cap, ur mines will shut down. but u can stock more that ur storage cap, just ur mines wont produce any more.

well telling jch to not gravedig would also by your defination be gravedigging,so That would not only not answer his question but be highly counterproductive.though I could have put that kind of reminder along with my post.

It's not gravedigging if he has an actual question, in fact he saves more clutter by using an older related thread.
To add more to the other answers; there is no physical hard limit to how much resources a planet can actually hold, however, you mines will only deposit their resources in your storage tanks, with a 10% overflow buffer. So with no storage levels, mines will keep producing until 1.100.000 resources are reached, at which time they will temporarily shut down production.
You can still deposit and otherwise manipulate resources on a 'full' planet though, as much as you like in fact. You can picture it such that the cargo deposit resources in planetary landfill sites once maximum inside storage is exceeded.
