Hello all,
We need to improve all these three parts:
-Just Joined page
-FaQ page
-Players Guide Thread
More specificall, we can accept ideas for Just Joined and Faq pages. Questions and answers that need to be added in FaQ and in what order. We will also add a navigation menu to FaQ page. For Just Joined, is the proposed plan nice for the newbie ? Off course we do not need the BEST plan but rather the easiest plan. Any more steps you think we could add ?
For players guide, we need to rewrite certain aspects of the game or even move whole topics from HELP thread there. Questions that have been asked a lot can be moved and explained there. We want the players guide to be actually the first source someone will check.
Re: Player's Guide / FaQ / Just Joined ?
#2Just an idea:
For the new "Player's Guide", I'd suggest that all of the main (broad) topics of the guide could be in alphabetical order instead of in "latest-last" order. I believe that that could make it a lot more easy (especially for newer players) to find a specific topic that a player is searching for when we get more topics going.
Thoughts?

Re: Player's Guide / FaQ / Just Joined ?
#3I think that we should have a few more important ones at the top. Maybe a guide to fleetsaving, how to remain unprofitable etc. I would be glad to help write a guide if needed.
Re: Player's Guide / FaQ / Just Joined ?
#4there really needs to be something about how to attack someone... i mean i can't tell you how many newbies out there asked me... "how do i attack someone?"

#5I don't think you can restructure in what order the topic are displayed like that. Dunno though, maybe.Gale wrote:Just an idea:

Re: Player's Guide / FaQ / Just Joined ?
#6There is a way to do it, you could just put it offsite say wikipedia except it would be called Zorgpedia. I have seen a bunch of other sites do this and it is helpful. This way everything will be in order.
Re: Player's Guide / FaQ / Just Joined ?
#7How about someone makes up a movie demo that shows the basics of Zorg... Attacking, Colonizing planets, the relationship between mines and energy, ect.

#8I like this idea. They could webcam it, put it on youtube, and link it to the "Player's Guide". It's not "ultra-official" but it gets the job done nice and sleek. We would just need takers. I'm not sure that the Admin would hassle with it with his busy schedule.comettail27 wrote:How about someone makes up a movie demo that shows the basics of Zorg... #10I like the idea too, but you don't have to use webcam. There are lots of software that captures on screen streams. For guideline these can be used. I know a few good ones which are open source and good enough for this kind of tutorials.
