Just wondering about the expeditions, 3 times i have sent expeditions and get this message...

Your explorers have found abandoned ships in perfect condition.
They found: 2 Heavy Fighter,

yet the fighters dont show up in my fleet, whats the deal?

Send more ships, and more than one type of ships, if you just send esp probes you cant expect them to drag back battleships. Send cargo too, in case you find resources.

Zorgon, that has absolutely NOTHING to do with what he is asking. If you got a message that you found 2 HF and did not recieve any, you need to write admin about it. Try to keep a record of what happened and see if you can duplicate teh situation. Send as much info as you can so they can see what is going on

Actually it does adressor, it is not a bug and he should not wrote to the admin about it, the number of ships you bring back depends on the number you send. Even if you find them they will show up in the messages but if you didn't send enough ships the wont return with them. There are many topics on it if you both want to check them out.

it only shows an amount that you can find AND bring back, If it showed that he found 2 HF, it brings them back. It means also that he sent enough to find them. He does NOT need to send more to bring them back. Whatever is found should come back so it IS A BUG if they didnt return. The amount found is restricted to 20% of the structure value that is sent out and if you sent out enough espionage ships you CAN bring back anything that has a structure value of 20% of what you sent, it does NOT have to be the same type of ship. However, you cannot discover and retrieve Death Stars.

From my experiences I've only found ships of the same type that I sent, but I don't do many expeditions.

I don't do many either. Often times your fleet gets destroyed, but yes i only found what i sent.

Haven't seen this answered elsewhere (though I may certainly have missed it)... how does higher expedition tech help you? I know it allows more simul expeditions, but does it decrease the chance of fleet destruction or increase the chance of finding stuff?

i think it makes it less likely for your fleet to be sucked into black holes.
