K. I made a satellite, since it didn't cost much, and I wanted to see how much energy it would add compared to a much more expensive solar energy upgrade.

However, it's just sitting there. Tried looking through FAQ and search 'satellite', but can't find out how to put it in orbit.

It's already in orbit, just like any ship you build.

Well, never mind.. it's giving energy now. Not much, but it's producing. Sorry bout that.

The hotter the planet, the more energy you get for your Solar sats.
