Recs with fleet

why do some ppl send 1 rec with their attacking fleet?
to confuse newbies?
adding a recs slows down he fleet to the speed of the rec, then they send the recs right after. by doing this it makes it simple to time the recyclers to be there several seconds after the attack.
also by slowing down the attacking fleet you use less deut which means more profit. this is a tactic only done on lanx attacks and offline people with their fleet sitting for a while.
