i was away for a week at the National hippy gathering and when i came back there was a debris field around my planet so i checked for a combat report, it said there was one but when it opened that page it was blank so i have no way to know who attacked me... is that normal?

I believe that it expired. Combat reports expire after so many days, i think its 3 or 4, but not sure.

I think you have to click on the battle report for it to show you who attacked you

Did you go into V mode?

since he is in my alliance I can answer that question because I talked to him before he left....no he just went inactive for a little while but didnt go into vatction mode
