hi i know that you need an ACS depo on a planet for other to defend it but is there really any reason to upgrade it?

when you go to ACS defend someone ur own deut is used up from launching the fleet. whats the deal with sending up 10k deut per hr?

Maybe to keep the ship cruising in space
You know, like in cars they need fuel to keep on moving right?

the reason for upgrading your acs depot is to keep the defending fleet on acs defend mission for longer time.
"10,000 units of deuterium per hour can be sent to an orbiting fleet." so if your defending fleet consumes 5000 deuth then it can stay on acs defend mission for 2 hours. if the fleet consumes more than 10.000 deuth than it cant defend you and you have to upgrade u'r acs depot to enlarge the units of deutherium provided per hour to your defending fleet (acs defend mission).

In the current system, you can defend for as long as you want, basically like a jump gate or graviton tech, its useable once you have it, no need for an upgrade.
