I remember hering that 50 Plasma Cannons will take down 1 Rip. Is this true? This is for defending a moon against attack.

RIP has:
Structure points 7.500.000
Shield Strength 50.000
Attack Points 200.000

PC has:
Structure points 100.000
Shield Strength 300
Attack Points 3.000

Looking at the stats, I'd say you need about 66 PC to match a RIP.
I don't think it's that simple though. I haven't seen a combat tie where 2 fleets end up destroying each other. 2 or 3 BS usually losses to a Destroyer.
Right now the RIP is one of the easiest ship to destroy. A couple of thousand LF can take down a RP but it would suffer losses too.

Simply because the majority of the RIP's power comes from it's insane ability to Rapid Fire against everything (except PC's). Because RF is disabled it can only fire once, taking away its usefulness.

I know. Thanks. I wouldn't be building my defenses until after Rapid Fire is implemented anyway.
