This is a concern that I share with a few other players at the moment.
Scenario:
I leave 1.000.000.000 metal worth of res on my moon/planet. and ask another player to attack me 5 times and with those 5 times he will win 96% of the resources. that is around 960.000.000 worth or resource.
"Technically" it is not milking.
6. You must not MILK
Every account must be played to its own full benefit. Anything contradicting this is considered MILKING. Any accounts involved in a milking case will be banned permanently game wide (all accounts in all universes).
*No player may knowingly send resources to any player unless it is done during a trade in accordance with the Trade Ratios posted on the forums (Trading).
*Once within a 24 hour period, any player may send the equivalent of 1 hour of production of each planet to any other player as long as they are in the same alliance.
*Moonshots, DF collection and Mercenary payments are considered as Trading.
so here is my question. what is the idea of having a rule that actually can be worked around it?
Re: Attack returns on friendly targets
#2I totally agree with you on this SPY. This is pure milking of resources.

Re: Attack returns on friendly targets
#3well the problem is we agree with this, but a lot of player do not. we see them doing this all the time.

Re: Attack returns on friendly targets
#4In the past I have seen players doing this to get into the Top Raiders of the week and it is certainly annoying to the players who attempt to get it legit.

Re: Attack returns on friendly targets
#5I'm sure that is illegal.SPY wrote:Scenario:

That "anything" is very broad and it should cover your scenario. I believe the problem is there is not enough manpower to go through every CRs and cross check any milking violation.SPY wrote:Every account must be played to its own full benefit. Anything contradicting this is considered MILKING.
If you suspect anyone doing it, you can report it to the admins. I believe they will check for any violations on that account and deal with it accordingly.

Re: Attack returns on friendly targets
#6the thing is who is to know who is whos friend and if its legit attacking or milking its a tough one to know unless its withing the same alliance then it is known as milking but say i skype my buddy and say hey leave 1 bil metal i will raiud it from ya and you raid it back at a later date its untracable unfortunatly

Re: Attack returns on friendly targets
#7It's up to the admins which ones to punish given enough evidence.
Well that's that. I believe nothing else can be done about it unless you don't allow any kind of attack.

Re: Attack returns on friendly targets
#8here is the clue... check out all the retiring fleeters CRs. every fleet crash except a few where the fleeter lift the fleet up to crash on another player they were raided heavily. with follow-ups to clean out the resting resources.
a gift given in platter. i understand taking down retiring fleet got legitimized in game... personally i dont see how it can be legitimized anyways this also takes concern that that player usually keeps a ton of res on board and on lookers raid those res off as well. we have seen it done on the forum a lot of time.
you might point out that the alliance I am currently we practice fellow taking down fleet of our own that got left alone due to long offlines.. i want to point it out that that practice is just half of it. in the other half we give back the df to the defending player so that he or she can rebuild. there is no advantages there.
what i dont understand even with all that talk about broad sense of illegitimate actions being covered by that word "anything" we hardly see any action for it.
if a milking sort of thing happen in game then both the parties attacker/defender are to be blamed. and both will face consequences. not just one side.

#9But I will again point out, if you try to get the same to the team, and if he is heavy ruby buyer of the game might get a warning and let off

#10Here's my 20 cents.
I believe the milking rule is only put in place to stop explicit cheating. eg. Cow accounts being used simply to boost other players.
The guide on fleet crashing during retirement states:"... Fleet crashing on purpose is ILLEGAL, whether is on retirement or not and this is why it will not be included in the Rule page.
Any player conducting a retirement crash is subject to the sub-rule either he is aware of it or not.
The sub rule only exists to give the choice to the fair player, who truly wants to retire, what to do of his own fleet." viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10406
There is really no clear way to find out some of the more discreet way of pushing and milking. Only when the violators are stupid enough to make it obvious. XD (Obvious meaning other players start suspecting what you are doing.) That is a good enough reason to keep the milking rule in place.
So again:

Still... I'm sure most milking and pushing are done with good intentions. Not to cheat. I'm fine with that.neoshagrath wrote:If you suspect anyone doing it, you can report it to the admins. I believe they will check for any violations on that account and deal with it accordingly.
