Does anyone know were the lunar base is?

On the moon?

The jump gate is also only on moons.

Well, incase you build them(lunar base and jgate) ofc

I would recommend you take a look at that second link. It gives several very important tips vital to any strategy.

also, read through the technologies. found in your menu on the left side of your overview screen. it will tell you what you need for everything such as buildings, techs, ships and defense units.
