Why is there no cancel order in the ship yard? I'm sure when I started there was a cancel build queue order which isn't there anymore. Is there any reason for that?

Actually, you can't . Once you tell your planet to build something, you can't cancel it (unless it's buildings or research).

The reason for this is that so if someone was attacking you, you can't just hide all your rescources by building tons of Lightfighters or cargo ships or such... then just hit "stop building" after the attack is over and get all your rescources back with no harm done.

There is no way to delete things from queue. If you find a way, it should be reported to the admin as a bug.
