If I have a planet in the top 4 spots in the galaxy and I am not happy with how many fields it ended up with, is it possible to abandon the colony and build a new planet in the exact same slot?
And if I abandon a colony, does that abandoned colony still count as the 10 planets I have?
If I abandon a colony and decide I've made a big mistake, can I take the colony back?
The reason I ask is I am running into a spot of bother where I have no more fields left. I have already torn down buildings I once used to establish myself that I no longer need. And I know I can build a terraformer (which I have) but at the level I am developing, the terraformer is now too expensive and I really need a planet with more fields to develop.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Keeping mind I have already read this:

And it didn't really answer my question exactly.
Oh, and I also wanted to know if it possible to move my home planet at all?
Thank you.
Re: Planet Strategy / Abandonment
#2-Yes you can abandon colonies; Click on the colony name at the top of the Overview as if you're renaming it and hit abandon instead. You'll be prompted with your password.
-No it won't count towards total planets
-No you can't get them back
-If you're running out of fields, you can always build Terraformers
-No you can't move your home.
On a side note: Slots 5 and 6 tend to give the most fields. Some people only colonize slot 14 because it has a chance of giving massive field numbers, but it's less reliable.
