Hi, I'm wondering if it is possible to divert a fleet that is already in flight, or whether i have to recall it before i can send it on a new mission? Also is it possible to stop a fleet midway?

You cannot divert a fleet midair. However, you can recall it. Just click on fleets and you will see a recall button next to each fleet.
