Re: Destroying a planet

Man I wish I had of known about the Def regeneration... I sent a fleet against a inactive with some decent def and knocked it donw to a small shield and a cannon... lost a few ships but I figured it was worth it. fleet comes back and I send it right back out again, figuring this time it will be cake. Not so much apparently... lost 2/3 of the fleet. /cry

Ah well I IPM-ed the S***T out of it. Hooray for free res.

Speaking of IPM. how do you know how many to send? and does increasing silo lvl past 4 increase the range (I think I Saw somehere that it does) how about damage?

Heres another funny one...

Guy has one RL and 1000 solar sats... I send a fleet with destroyers, heavy fighters battleships, and allmost 100 Large Cargos... And it ends in a draw... lol He had 300-ish sats left. never thought about Solars as a passive shield...

For IPMs, you send as many as you need :P

Impulse Engine increases the range, upping the Silo increases how many you can hold. And yeah, Sats can be used as fodder, though I wouldn't suggest it. Too many big boys will want to recycle them ;)

Edit: I think increasing your Weapon Tech also increases how many defenses each one destroys
