Did you know that if you have a colony on planet 1 in a solar system, the solar satellites you build there will have more energy output?

Not necessarily. Sat output depends on how hot the planet is. Conversely, colder planets produce more deut.

Did you know the bigger a planet is...the more building fields it has
On a more serious note though.
Never use rubies to get extra energy, except if you are aiming to get graviton...
I would imagine that the withdrawal from the extra energy would be horrific if you ran out of rubies
So all in all that plus option is rather like a drug in some aspects
