Istalris wrote:Your first four were incredibly easy Karroth, you'll have to try harder. Not to mention i've used 2 of them before myself.

1, The man actually wrote the words "Your exact weight" on the peice of paper.

2, She shot a photograph of her husband.

3, The kid put a container of water on his head for 10 minutes, hence, he was "under" water.

4, They pile up the dirt from their tunnel attempt and use it to escape through the unbarred window.

Now to take a looksee at your hard ones. :P

I never expected those four to challenge you much. But I can't wait to see what you come up with four the next two
Istalris wrote:1 and 2 you got correct, 3 you got incorrect.

Ok. Now here are my five brain teasers. I think they are quite easy.

1)Mudah, the Prince of Shaliza, was recently killed in Bombay. He was staying in a highly protected hut, with no chimney. He had people guarding the doors and windows. But somehow, he died. His murderous nemesis, Hudry, and his bodyguards were not charged. How is this possible?

4) How many birthday does an average person have?

5) Two convicts are locked in a cell. There is an unbarred window high up in the cell. No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape. They then decide to tunnel out. However, they give up with the tunnelling because it will take too long. Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell. What is his plan?

KarrothMelu wrote:These are for you, ista ;) :

1. A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."
The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.
In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

2. A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.
How can this be?

3. A magician was boasting one day at how long he could hold his breath under water. His record was 6 minutes. A kid that was listening said, "that's nothing, I can stay under water for 10 minutes using no types of equipment or air pockets!" The magician told the kid if he could do that, he'd give him $10,000. The kid did it and won the money. Can you figure out how?

4. Two convicts are locked in a cell. There is an unbarred window high up in the cell. No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape. They then decide to tunnel out. However, they give up with the tunneling because it will take too long. Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell. What is his plan?

And the two hard ones:

5. An old king is about to die and he has no offspring to inherit the crown. So he summons the three wisest men from his kingdom and puts them to a test. He tells them that he is about to put them in a room and have his aide put a hat on each of them. Each hat may or may not have a dot on it, but at least one hat will have a dot. They may not touch the hats, nor communicate in any way. The first one that correctly identifies whether his hat has a dot will become the next king. If he is wrong, or if he breaks the rules, he will be killed. Then he sends all three wise men into the room. The king then tells his aide to put dotted hats on all three. A few minutes later one of the wise men returns and announces proudly that he has a dot. How did he know?

he saw the other 2 did not have dots on so he new he must have a dot or "king tells aide to put dotted hats on all 3" so they all got dots on

6. You are a contestant on the game show Let's Make a Deal, and emcee Monty Hall has a game for you to play. On stage are three huge doors, and he informs you that hidden behind one of the three doors is a brand new sports car, behind another is a donkey, and behind another is 400 pounds of bananas. (This may seem obvious, but your goal is to get the car, not the donkey or the bananas.) He asks you to choose one door, and you will win the prize behind that door. You choose, but before he reveals what you have won, Monty reveals what's behind one of the doors you did not pick, and it's not the car. Before revealing what lies behind the remaining two doors, he makes you one final offer: if you wish, you may switch from your choice to the other remaining door. The question is: Should you switch, should you not switch, or does it matter?

doesnt matter it is 50/50 now its like that Deal or no Deal  or "choose one door and you will win prize behind that door" so dont matter if he changes now he stills wins prize behind his original pick

Good Luck

1- A Mother and Father have four daughters, each of the four daughters have a brother, how many members are there in the family? (counting only the parents and children)

2- If i tell you "Everything i say is a lie", am i telling the truth or telling a lie? And why?

This next one will hurt your brain;

3- Which of these following statements are true?

1. At least one of these ten statements is false.

2. At least two of these ten statements are false.

3. At least three of these ten statements are false.

4. At least four of these ten statements are false.

5. At least five of these ten statements are false.

6. At least six of these ten statements are false.

7. At least seven of these ten statements are false.

8. At least eight of these ten statements are false.

9. At least nine of these ten statements are false.

10. At least ten of these ten statements are false.

Have fun!

-Istalris-
solution A first 5 are true but cannot go further so next 5 must be false

solution B they are all false but 9 is true saying they are all false

solution C 1 is true (know for certain 10 is FALSE) rest are all false as no way of knowing

solution D all 10 are false :?

if all wrong no idea this hurts my head  only thing i know is that 10 is impossible to be true
