It actually depends. If you're talking about light, black is the absence of color. However, if you're talking about paint, for example, when you mix them all together you get a black.

Although, now that I think about it, that just means that all colors are being absorbed by the different colors of paint, so I guess that's the absence of color as well. Who knew??
