I asked my cousin of 14, what is his feelings towards the event of that day, he replied "It was a good thing that it happened". And he was saying that a bit sarcastically, so I went on and asked what if the same happened in our country what would u say, was a simple answer, "ppl are dead thats a good thing". I took a deep thought in that, why he was saying it. Then realized act of war, act of violence or act of injustice has been so common around here that it hardly affects ppl like them. Then we talked a bit more and realized we do feel the pain of loss, but the empathy lacks out a lot when you are far from the event, masked with the controversy, blinded with diversified ploy.
The true humanity is to go pass by our bias and look in it from hearts content. Personally I think the lives that were lost on that day were precious and are irreplaceable. Same goes for any single life that is lost on any act of violence that results to loose life. No matter what where and how, if an innocent life is lost the humanity fails from there. My young naive cousin even deep down unknowingly agrees on that.
Lets just hope in our course of life we would be able to do the needful when it is needed to protect the innocents.
Re: 9/11
#12I will forever remember this day...and week. That was like the worse week EVER for me And had alot of hate for things because every person I have grown up with was in the army and going into the army after school. Now a days they are still in and over seas alot. So i respect anyone and everyone that is willing to do this for America and any other counties as well. Joining and fighting for freedom is very grown up thing.
9/11 will always be apart of every american even if they don't believe it or want it to.
And also its not just about the army or anything because alot of police and firemen and all that lost people as well. So they earn alot of respect for this day.
