not sure if these have any value...
I started in feb 2014.., so yes... a noob in this game..
and was told get a rubie moon..., or moons...
rest of the moons can be popped.., unless they big..
So only a rubie moon was the answer..
However..
In the last few weeks i know of a few.., at least 4 rubie moons that were popped..
Making them as useless as any other moon of large diameter..
and they getting popped at no risk to the attacker...
I have yet got to see an moon attacker losing his RIP's..,
They all seem to just....work.... making it an low risk exersize to pop any moon...
so why buy a rubie moon?...
Re: rubie moons are useless
#2I think Extreme is the only server where a handful of people can pop a ruby moon.
But in that case, I'd probably spend your rubies on something else.

#4Xtreme is the only server where they are in fact pretty much useless. AS Alduin so eloquently puts it in massive lettering, rubies can be useful but you don't need them so much if you can play well. Perhaps a change of servers?
Re: rubie moons are useless
#5Rubies are pretty crucial for instant jump gates on roamers...
As for silver vixen it's 1 person...
now back on topic. There has been a few people in the past who have lost their entire rip army losting somewhere between 10-20million in fleet points because of the backfire of the rips. So yes there is risk, and yes it has happened. Give it time, enough moon destroys and he will lose them.

#6Indeed. I have lost a fair few in the "blow back". It's always a risk. Unless you have an enormous amount than there is always that risk.
Re: rubie moons are useless
#7well .., yes..., I thought rubies were worth using for an indestructible moon..
If I knew it wasnt would have saved them for smth much better.., and just done all my moons the normal way..
Point is basically 99% of rubie moons are not safe...
as most of them can be popped by the bigger players..
So yes... correct.., adjust accordingly and play on new level..

Rubies are very useful Aldruin. But I don't rely on them. >.> Can't. I'm broke )

#10Ruby moons are a useful tool, though if you're relying on them instead of putting some thought in to your fleetsave.... Well yeah it is going to get recycled.
